Your Questions About At Home Care Services

Chris asks…

What are good home health care services for senior citizens?

My father has alzheimer’s and we are trying to look for a good home health care service and plan.

Healthadvisor answers:

Your local social services should be able to point you in the right direction. It’s best to get something approved by the local authority where you are because they will see inspectors’ report etc. And know which are good and which to avoid.

What are good home health care services for senior citizens?

My father has alzheimer’s and we are trying to find a good home health care service for him.

Healthadvisor answers:

Call around and visit different places. Make sure you actually talk to the people living there, they’ll give you a sense if they are being taken care of. Ask to see random rooms and not just the ones they would want you to see.

Susan asks…

What is the best home care service for people with alzeihemers and needs to see a heart specialist for checkup?

Dad has dementia. Hospice called angels of hope says the insurance will not pay for dad to go to a heart doctor. He can only go to a general practician. Dad had to get off of angels of hope because of this. My 78 year old mom needs to find a home health care service immediately that the insurance will cover along with his visits to the heart doctor. He doesn’t go to his heart doctor but a few times a year. They live in Georgia

Healthadvisor answers:

Hi Sweet Tea,

In Australia it is Alzheimer’s Association. Call your local hospital and they will be able to give you the name and address of the Alzheimer’s Association or the organization which helps client’s needing this type of help.
